Isabelle Stanislas inaugurates the first in a series of interior fragrances News
With D’ORSAY, Isabelle Stanislas inaugurates the first in a series of interior fragrances created by architect-designers.
There is geometry in Isabelle Stanislas’ life’s path. A figure close to the scalene, the triangle with three unequal sides. In her work, which combines interior design, architecture and furniture design. In her inspiration which is made of a permanent balance between the respect of the history, the audacity of the modernity and the will to join them in the essential. During her architecture studies, she created with six friends a collective called Passage du Cheval Blanc in Paris in the 11th arrondissement where art, photography, landscaping and architecture intermingle with a single aim: to create a link between expressions, visions and materials… She began her first works in living rooms, then houses, and at the age of 22 she was entrusted with the reinvention of a private mansion. A meeting with a fashion designer led her to work on the concept of 400 shops and corners for the brand throughout the world. Other French luxury houses then called on his talent: saddlers, jewellers, fashion designers.
There she refined her taste for excellence and respect for heritage. She presented her work at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, the Palais d’Iéna and the Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris. She is exhibited by several galleries, makes each encounter a source of inspiration, draws from the art of breath and light, travels through time and asserts her own vision. Little by little she invents new letters to the alphabet of the past to write it in the present.
